How we’ll work together
The people I work with come from different backgrounds and are dealing with different things. Yet I see one pattern again and again: they’re capable, they’re managing, and something underneath isn’t working the way it used to.
In our free 15-minute chat, you can tell me a little about what’s going on, and we’ll see whether we’re a good fit. If we are, your first session gives us time to look at what you need, how we’ll work together and how this can fit into your life.
Treatment approach
My work is integrative, trauma-informed and neuro-affirming, so we’ll draw on what suits you rather than follow a fixed programme. Person-centred counselling is my foundation, which means your sessions start with what’s happening for you.
Some of what you’re carrying won’t ease through talking alone, so I also use somatic (mind and body) practices. You might notice your breath catching or your shoulders tightening as you talk about something. We can stop there and get curious about it.
Depending on what you need, I may draw on:
- Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), to help you relate differently to the thoughts and feelings that have been running the show
- Positive psychology, to build on what’s already working
- Breathwork, to help your body and nervous system settle when stress has taken over
- Tapping (Emotional Freedom Techniques), a gentle technique that works with your body’s stress response (I’ve completed my training and am working towards certification)
People often come to me with stress, anxiety, depression, burnout, overwhelm, career uncertainty, high sensitivity or decisions they can’t seem to make.
We’ll only use these practices if they feel right to you, and you can say no at any time. You’re not broken, and I won’t try to fix you. You’ll have room to work out what you want and support to move towards it.

Fees
My standard counselling fee is $150 per 50-minute session. If that’s a barrier right now, I offer a limited number of reduced-fee places from $120. You won’t need to give proof of your circumstances; just raise it when we have our free 15-minute chat, and we’ll work out what’s manageable.
Medicare and private health rebates aren’t available, and sessions are self-funded. Full payment is due at the time of your appointment. If using a rebate is important to you, it’s worth checking with your GP or health fund about other providers before booking with me.
Cancellations: please give me at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. The full session fee applies to late cancellations and missed appointments.
